Keeping You Up To Date With The Latest News At GPA
A Sun Baker (Just under half an oz)
We have just this week finished our last 2008 extended tour.
Our last Halls Creek tour and our Tibooburra trip were fantastic.
246 pieces of gold were found by our clients during our Tibooburra tour. Everyone had a ball.
Evenings were certainly warm around the camp fire thanks to some of our hard working wood gathers!!
Our final Halls Creek tour was capped off with the 1000km trip across the Tanami track to Alice Springs. We called into the Wolf Creek Meteorite Crater (the worlds second largest) on our way. For those who have seen the film we didn't see Mick!! It's awe inspiring.
The trip was everything we expected and more. 700 km's of the worst corrugations I have ever experienced!! Hard on man and machine. The OKA didn't miss a beat and came through beautifully.
700Km's This was as good as it got!!
Another trip another Sun Baker this one just under 4 oz's

A Prison tree on the way to Halls Creek from Kununnarra
One of our overseas clients who was with us last year found a fantastic 4 plus oz including some rock. It has over 3 ounces of the yellow stuff in it. It was found with the GPX4000 using one of the new Coiltek Manufacturing 14" Goldstalker mono coils. 14" down in "HOT" Rock Hard Iron Stone Concrete. It took us nearly one hour to extract it. I've got the blisters to prove it!! The new Goldstalker coils have been fantastic, very quiet and ultra sensitive.
The view from the OKA is second to none, Velma and Jim having a well earned rest.

Just recently GPA and Coiltek Gold Centre Maryborough were involved in a full day's filming for the Discovery Channel. The show is called Cash and Treasures, and is hosted by Kirsten Gum. It will go to air in around 3 to 4 months.
We had a great days filming showing Kirsten how to detect and search for gold. The film crew were all very patient with us and we are certainly keen to see the finished result.
I think our OKA was one of the big highlights. Kirsten and the crew raved about it all day.
Kirsten was lucky enough to find 2 small pieces of gold for our day.
It was Kirsten's first Australian Gold and to say she was over the moon with excitement would be an understatement!!
Discussing the next shot
Happy? You bet! First Aussie Gold.
What now?
