Keeping You Up To Date With The Latest News At GPA

Important Information!!!
All of our 2012 Western Australian tours are now full!! We have been staggered by the speed at which these trips filled this year. We are sorry if you have missed out. We have limited places and one of our tours filled within 2 days of releasing the dates! We still have a few spots left on our New South Wales tour and our last Victorian Tour in 2012, but they won't last long.

We have now completed all of our 2011 Western Australian tours. All were very successful.
On tour this year our clients found over 40 ounces of gold between them!!
About one third of our tour members this year had very little or no experience at looking for gold. The results are fantastic.

How's that for a beautiful nugget!! Ken from Alaska found this one on the very last morning of our first tour within walking distance of camp. Ken's the one on the left in the picture above with the detector over his shoulder.

Our second tour got off to a flying start with Robert who joins us each year. He only detects on average for 3 to 4 weeks a year when he is on tour with us. Robert found a fantastic patch within 800meters of our camp, on the very first day of tour. The photo shows a very happy Rob with his total haul for the 10 days on tour, that's over 5 ounces of gold!!

Every one on this tour had a great time and many friendships were made.
Below is a photo of the group around the camp fire ready to leave for the days detecting.

Tony, from Western Australia joined us on one of our Leonora tours. He has been detecting for some time now without success. The photo's below show a very happy Tony wiith his first ever gold. Well done Tony.

That's the piece in the calcrete.

We have now changed over all of our Hire detectors to the very latest and best Minelab GPX5000's!!! If you join us for a day or more in the bush you will be using the absolute latest metal detector, unless of course you bring your own. Either way you can be guaranteed a great day out with us.

Victorian training days and package deals can be found on our Victorian tours page.

We recently completed a weekend tour in the Golden Triangle with clients from 3 different Australian states. We had a family from Melbourne join us and they had a ball.
We had a great time with Josh, Peter, Elsie and Ben. Josh and Ben are our next generation of prospectors!!

One and two day trips out of BENDIGO and other Golden Triangle locations are happening weekly. These tours are designed to achieve what ever our CLIENTS REQUIRE in the way of detecting. They are very much ONE on ONE and can be All Inclusive or Tag Along.
Tell us what you WANT and we will do our best to achieve it in the time you have with us!

Just Before Christmas we had Henri from Switzerland join us for several days detecting and training around Bendigo and the Golden Triangle of Victoria. It was his first time using a metal detector.
That's Henri below on his very first day with us.

Henri had a fantastic time with us and found over 20 pieces of gold. A great result for someone who had never detected before. We took him to some of our most favorite spots. Henri was using one of our latest Minelab GPX5000 machines combined with the Commander 11" mono coil that comes with it. He was very easy to train and certainly did everything we taught him, especially to dig every target. The photo below shows a beautiful find dug out of someone's old detector hole!!

We think the previous detector operator had maybe dug some rubbish first and heard another signal and thought "more junk" and didn't bother the dig this beauty!! Oh Dear!

After cleaning off some very hard baked clay the weight finished up just over 80 grams or a bit under 3 ounces!! It could be said Henri has developed a touch of Gold Fever, and can't wait to get back and do some more detecting with us.
Ronda, showed Henri where she thought he should detect on this particular day, she was standing on top of the old detector hole when she was giving him information of the lay of the land so to speak.
It was Henri's first signal for the day. His other 30 or so targets on that day were Rubbish!! Well done to another of our Swiss "Mates".

If you are thinking of booking a tour and have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us, write or give us a call, we will do our utmost to help you as best we can.

All INCLUSIVE MEANS JUST THAT-------------YOU ARRIVE AND WE DO THE REST
(Well you will need to look for your own GOLD and help with some of the camp chores but we guarantee you will have a GREAT time).

OVER 70% of OUR BOOKINGS ARE FROM PAST CLIENTS!!
I think this says something about the experience they have had with us!!

GOLD PROSPECTING AUSTRALIA

ARE

THE GOLD TOUR SPECIALISTS

Nobody else comes close to offering the professional training and one on one tuition like GPA. We don't have gimmicks like Gold Guarantee, or Private Gold Fields we just teach you all you need to know how to detect like the professionals which gives you the best opportunities to find Your Own Gold!!

We have just completed our very first Inglewood weekend and it was a great success. The picture below shows our weekend members at the Hand Of Faith monument at Kingower Victoria which was officially opened earlier this year. The monument was erected by the Prospector's and Miner's Association of Victoria (PMAV). Ronda and Mark from GPA were fortunate enough to be at the opening and had the pleasure of hearing Kevin Hillier's story of how he found the Hand of Faith. It was a very moving story.

The PMAV is to be congratulated for the fantastic work they put into this monument. They are also the reason we can detect in most areas of Victoria! Without the work the PMAV do we would have a very limited area in Victoria to conduct our prospecting activities.

It just doesn't get any better than this!!! This piece was found on one of our tours in Western Australia this year. It is a once in a life time lump or maybe three life times. It weighs 69.42 ounces or 2,159 grams.
The nugget has now been named "THE GOLDEN BOOMERANG"
The photo below shows Mark and Ronda from GPA with Michael the lucky finder.

Xterra Training
We have been teaching some of our clients how to use their coin and relic machines. Like all metal detectors they can seem very hard to operate. The manual can be a little hard to follow. We are well versed in the Xterra's operation and have written up some easy to understand notes, for future reference whilst out in the field. The Xterra's and other coin and relic machines are great for the whole family. We have lots of clients now buying an Xterra or similar as a second machine for use with the children and grand children. They are a lot of fun.
If you need some training in how to use your Xterra or similar give us a call.
Below is a photo of Ronda teaching Matthew how to use his Xterra 705 on a Castlemaine weekend last year.
